Installing a 6,000 Pound Flowering Cherry
This Pennsylvania-grown flowering cherry was delivered to our customer in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. This large tree required a 6′ x 6′ planting hole with a corresponding depth of 4 feet. The total weight of the tree and root ball was approximately 6,000 pounds. The installation took about 2 hours.
Installing a 6,000 Pound Southern Magnolia
Resources Florida grown Southern Magnolia from a grower new Orlando and transported it to a client in Raleigh who recently lost a mature, Southern Magnolia. This particular cultivar is D.B. Blanchard, which is known for its shiny green leaves, as well as a brown suede appearance underneath the leaf ,and large dinner plate fragrant blooms. This particular tree weighed about 6,000 pounds and required us to rent special equipment to safely remove it from the trailer and into the planting hole.
