Hotel Swimming Pool Landscape
Raleigh, North Carolina
This national hotel chain located near the North Carolina State Fairgrounds in Raleigh wanted to add a tropical look and feel to their swimming area. We added Windmill Palms and Yucca Rostratas which provided contrasting colors and foliage.
Apartment Complex
Durham, North Carolina
This apartment complex wanted a different look and feel for their entry way that would attract new residents. With many apartment complexes on this road, an appealing landscape which would attract attention was needed. Plants used included Crape Myrtle, ornamental grasses, Colorado Blue Spruce, Dwarf Sable Palm, Yucca Rostrata, agaves and Windmill Palms. All of these plants, once established, are drought tolerant and low maintenance.
Art Gallery Interior Courtyard
Durham, North Carolina
The interior courtyard at a renowned art gallery required us to transport large specimen palms through the gallery to the center space. We selected Cabbage, Windmill and Pindo palms which we were able to move by hand. Being an interior courtyard, we were able to use varieties of Palms better suited to warmer areas due to the protection afforded from cold and wind.
Birmingham Zoo
Burmingham, Alabama
Home & Garden Landscape parent Cooper-Payne provided a selection of cold-hardy palms to the Birmingham, Alabama zoo for their Giant Tortoise exhibit. Plants provided included Pindo Palms and triple-trunk Windmill Palms.
